This Year's Theme
Ignorance is not bliss.
We may share one nation, but we do not share one national experience. The goal this year is to read books that open our minds to the American experience as we might not expect it. What's it like to be a Native American who leaves the reservation and tries to assimilate to the culture outside it? What is it like to be disabled in America? How are the experiences of immigrants, the impoverished, etc. different from what we might consider the "American experience"? This year, we will find out.

About the Book Club
The Book Club meets after school on the second Wednesday of each month to discuss that month's selection.
Books are chosen by the Selection Committee, made up of student Book Club members. Come to any Committee meeting to be a part of the selection process.
